Program Overview

During the past decade, the criminal justice field has evolved in novel and exciting ways, providing opportunities for individuals to foster change in the policies and initiatives that shape our society on every level. At Keiser University, the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (MACJ) degree helps students become a part of those changes by providing them with the tools and skills they need to advance their careers and make meaningful contributions in many sectors of the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, court systems, juvenile justice, and management and leadership roles.

Through an in-depth understanding of the ethical, psychological and societal implications of the concept of justice and implementation of the justice system, the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice degree enables students to develop and apply vital critical thinking and analytical skills to real-world criminal justice issues.

Keiser University’s Graduate School also offers an online Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Interdisciplinary Studies, which fosters independent learning by providing an intensive study into various elements that make up the field of criminal justice. The field is interdisciplinary in nature, incorporating elements of sociology, law, public administration, and psychology. This program extends that interdisciplinary nature with the opportunity to apply up to 12 credit hours toward a concentration in education, business, homeland security, or psychology. In this way, the program offers the freedom to more closely align your education to your overall career goals.
